The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Mechanical Engineer - Motion Safety is responsible for supporting new product development, manufacturing process improvement, and engineering initiatives across the Motion Safety product portfolio. This role will support projects from concept through production implementation and post-launch support while driving improvements in safety, quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.

The Mechanical Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and Product Management teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions that support business growth and customer needs.

What You'll Do at Justrite:
  • Support new product development across concept, prototyping, testing, production, and post-launch improvement
  • Design and improve products using SolidWorks and engineering analysis to optimize performance, manufacturability, and materials
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive customer-focused improvements and resolve technical issues
  • Drive manufacturing and process improvements by analyzing workflows, equipment, and layouts to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Develop and standardize processes including work instructions, documentation, and process controls to support operational consistency
  • Support Lean, tollgate, and continuous improvement initiatives, including problem-solving and efficiency improvements across operations
  • Lead value engineering and cost optimization efforts through design changes, material alternatives, and process improvements
  • Evaluate tooling, equipment, and suppliers to enhance manufacturing capability and throughput
  • Support multiple engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and coordination stay on track
  • Promote safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or related Engineering field required
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial, or product development environments
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process improvement and product development initiatives preferred
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, prototyping, or machine shop operations preferred
  • Proficiency with: SolidWorks or similar CAD software, ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $120,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
