KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Design & Development
  • Contribute to the concept development, design, and improvement of Solids Control and Waste Management equipment and systems.
  • Apply Mechanical Engineering principles to support new product development and enhancement of existing product lines.
  • Perform engineering analysis, including computational simulation (FEA/CFD), modelling, and validation testing.
  • Support design verification and validation activities to ensure product performance, durability, and reliability.
  • Assist with material selection, material modelling, and structured testing programs.
  • Analyse test data and apply statistical methods to support sound engineering decisions.
  • Identify technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.


Sustaining & Operational Support
  • Provide engineering support to address field issues, product improvements, and reliability initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Sales, and Global Engineering teams to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned with NOV's operational excellence strategy.
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with NOV's safety standards, ethics, and core values.


Technical Leadership & Professional Growth
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as appropriate.
  • Support internal and external technical knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry advancements, and best practices relevant to solids control, waste management, and drilling operations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations or papers to support industry engagement and technical leadership.
  • Actively pursue continuous professional development in alignment with personal and business goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in mechanical design, engineering analysis, and product development.
  • Proficiency with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar).
  • Experience supporting testing, validation, and performance evaluation activities.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Solids Control and Waste Management equipment and associated processes.
  • Familiarity with traditional drilling operations, drilling fluids systems, geothermal applications, thermal treatment technologies, and solids handling systems.
  • Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) projects and product lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certification requirements.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Fundamentals of Engineering (FE), or willingness to obtain.
