Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering complex mechanical designs throughout the product development lifecycle. You will work independently within your area of expertise while collaborating across teams to achieve project goals and support ASML's commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

You will:
  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical modules, components, and engineering solutions.
  • Define, analyze, and manage design requirements while ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Conduct research, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations to support informed engineering decisions.
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, including material selection and technical documentation.
  • Support system integration, testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities to ensure product quality.
  • Identify technical risks, develop creative solutions, and balance quality with timely project delivery.
  • Mentor and guide engineers while promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or complex engineering systems.
  • Experience leading technical projects, subsystems, or module-level design activities.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering analysis tools.
  • Experience creating technical specifications, engineering documentation, and design reviews.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in environments with technical uncertainty.
  • Knowledge of how mechanical systems interact within larger product architectures.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$86,800-119,350

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
