Role Scope- Engineer mechanical design for energy storage: BESS enclosures, thermal management, and site integration behind the meter.
- Own thermal design: cooling for containers and enclosures across climates, validated rather than vendored.
- Integrate storage mechanically into the campus: pads, clearances, fire separation, and service access engineered.
- Review vendor systems hard: what the datasheet claims versus what the fleet will live with.
What We're Looking For- The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
- You've done mechanical engineering for BESS, power electronics, or thermal-critical enclosures.
- You've engineered thermal management validated by test.
- You know the safety codes shaping storage siting, NFPA 855 among them, and design to them.
- You evaluate vendor equipment beyond the brochure.
- You've supported field deployment of your designs.
- Bonus: Lithium-ion thermal behavior. CFD. Fire suppression interfaces. Utility-scale storage projects.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
