Mechanical Design Engineer
Lead II - Engineering Design
UST is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will interpret sub-system level functional requirements to define, design, & develop cost effective hardware solutions.
The opportunity:
• Execute significantly complex design projects having a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, control systems, and software design, which are leading edge of system functionality or technology.
• Interface with multiple design and manufacturing engineering disciplines to specify, design, develop and commercialize semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment.
• Concept generation, detailed design and documentation and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using Unigraphics NX & TCE software
• Work with OEM suppliers to specify, develop, & document components required for hardware functionality.

What you need:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years of experience with relevant experience
• Preferred experience in the semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment space with knowledge of semiconductor fabrication physics, processes, & materials.
• Capable of executing full range of design activity from concept generation, 3D CAD design using Unigraphics NX & TCE software, OEM component selection and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using PMI/MBD.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $101,000-$152,000
