Financial Analyst
Lead II - Accounting and Compliance
The Business Analyst will support the CTO business by partnering with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver structured insights, reporting, and planning support.
The opportunity:
• Support financial planning and reporting processes
o Maintain and update recurring financial reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet views, supporting company-wide planning cycles
o Assist in forecast updates, variance tracking, and consolidation of inputs across stakeholders
• Performance tracking and variance analysis
o Monitor capital and operating spend versus plan; identify drivers of variance, timing risks, and potential exposure
o Partner with Finance and Operations teams to enable spend and capital reviews
• Process improvement and automation
o Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort
o Leverage automation and AI tools (including Copilot) to enhance reporting efficiency and workflow scalability

What you need:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous data
• Technical Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (modeling, data manipulation, reporting)
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and GAAP
• Familiarity with ERP or planning systems
• Additional Skills
• Experience with AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for workflow efficiency is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $72,000-$104,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
