Role Purpose:

The Measurements Section Supervisor leads the plant measurements team to ensure accurate, capable, and production-ready measurement systems that support safety, quality, cost, capacity, and new technology deployment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily leadership and supervision to measurement engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure plant-wide measurement systems are accurate, repeatable, and production capable.
  • Prioritize measurement support activities to maximize manufacturing performance and minimize cost.
  • Champion safety initiatives and promote team engagement in plant safety programs.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain measurement systems and procedures.
  • Partner with Operations, Process Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to reduce measurement-related variability.
  • Lead and support troubleshooting of complex measurement system issues.
  • Sponsor or lead projects focused on measurement capability, cost reduction, quality, and new technology deployment.
  • Establishes priorities, processes, and performance expectations for resolving system issues and maintaining data integrity.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate team members and support career planning.
  • Travel less than 5%


Work Schedule:

  • Salaried position. Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with 40+ hours per week. Occasional off-shift or weekend support may be required.


Experiences/Education - Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2) or more years of technical, project, or people leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of measurement systems, data collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in database concepts, data systems, and interconnected business applications.
  • Ability to make sound, data-driven technical decisions.
  • Experience troubleshooting within a production environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Experiences/Education - Desired:

  • Previous supervisory or people leadership experience.
  • Six Sigma / DMAIC Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
  • Project management experience related to process, equipment, or measurement improvements.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, ODBC, Syteline, etq, JMP.
  • Working knowledge of optical systems and measurement principles.
  • Working knowledge of change management systems.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.


This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $125,734.00 - $172,884.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
