Full Job Description
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor. This is an onsite position at our La Grange, NC facility. Relocation is not provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Materials Supervisor is responsible for leading all plant materials management activities to ensure the efficient flow of raw materials and components to support production and customer delivery and expectations. This role drives customer escalations, inventory accuracy, material availability, timely purchase order placement, procurement escalation maintenance, production planning and internal logistics performance while leading a team of hourly employees and partnering across functions to achieve site performance objectives. As a key member of the operations team, this position supports and drives results aligned to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and Engagement metrics.

In this role you will:
  • Lead daily materials and warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and line-side delivery to maintain uninterrupted production flow
  • Place POs to ensure timely and accurate material availability to support production schedules and minimize downtime
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to eliminate discrepancies
  • Supervise, coach, and develop hourly materials team members; manage performance, staffing, and training needs
  • Partner with planning, procurement, production, and quality teams to proactively resolve material shortages, quality issues, and supply disruptions while ensuring system integrity via regular exception message, Aged req and PO maintenance metrics.
  • Manage material flow and storage strategies within the plant to optimize space utilization and reduce waste
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including inventory accuracy, shortages, past due orders, and line disruptions
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of system transactions (SAP) related to receipts, transfers, and adjustments
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Eaton Business System (EBS) tools
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through active engagement, hazard recognition, and adherence to EHS policies
  • Support physical inventory processes and internal audits to ensure compliance and control
    Communicate material constraints, risks, and recovery plans to plant leadership and cross-functional teams


Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in materials, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in ERP systems and inventory control processes.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within a 50-miles radius of La Grange, NC to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of plant material flow, warehousing, and production support systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Lean / Six Sigma or Eaton Business System (EBS) experience
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • APICS certification or equivalent
