What You Will Do:
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented chemist/engineer to support its Analytical Chemistry Lab. In addition to collaborating with engineers and lab staff to support research and testing initiatives, this role involves hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation, instrumentation operation, data processing, and lab management. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry or related science field with a strong willingness to learn, and the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sample preparation for organic and inorganic chemical analysis using various techniques such as acid digestion, hotplate, and microwave methods.
Conduct oil and Fuel testing.
Conduct wet chemistry procedures including pH measurement, titration, and density analysis.
Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as, ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma), TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis), DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), TMA (Thermomechanical Analysis), GCMS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), Raman Spectroscopy, FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), XPS, SIMS, and Auger
Manage lab consumables and maintain housekeeping standards.
Follow EH&S protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals like hydrofluoric acid.
Process and analyze data from instrumentation.
Collaborate with engineers and lab staff to support research and testing initiatives.
Approximately 70% of the role is hands-on in the lab.
Extensive training and mentorship provided; independent work expected after.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors or advanced degree in Chemistry, or a related science field.
2+ years of experience or advanced degree with no experience.
Must be a U.S person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
Strong interest in analytical chemistry and instrumentation is required.
Commitment to safety and lab protocols.
Approximately 70% of the role is hands-on in the lab.
Ability to work independently after training and mentorship.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
