Position Summary

The Engineer II position is the intermediate level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer II position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization Material Engineering with general supervision.

An Engineer II is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.

Position Details
  • This role is on site in our Magnolia, Texas office
  • Full time, permanent position


Responsibilities

  • Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates
  • Conduct studies and generate observations and data as required by project plan
  • Develop draft reports and work with Technical Experts as needed to finalize for client delivery
  • Deliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc.
  • Other work duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in Materials Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge in applicable field Materials Engineering, with a Bachelors or Masters degree and Professional Engineer designation
  • Experience with lab equipment such as FTIR, TGA, DSC, SEM
  • Specific experience or interests in non-metalic materials
  • Analytical/investigation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high energy, customer-focused and a positive, success-oriented attitude

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance in and out of a lab environment.
