Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified Materials & Welding Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This role provides technical expertise in welding, metallurgy, and materials engineering for Venture Global LNG projects, including the Calcasieu Pass (CP) and Plaquemines (PQ) facilities.

The successful candidate will support project activities throughout the engineering, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness phases. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to project requirements, engineering standards, industry regulations, and Basis of Design (BOD) criteria while contributing to the safe and reliable delivery of project objectives.

The Materials & Welding Engineer will work closely with internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, fabrication vendors, construction personnel, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and support overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support related to materials engineering, metallurgy, and welding across LNG capital projects.

  • Understanding of applicable regulatory and safety requirements, including NFPA 59A and 49 CFR Part 193.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical technical solutions.
