Materials Planner

Do you have experience in material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting within a fast-paced supply chain environment?
Have you successfully collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability while optimizing inventory levels and operational efficiency?

Fueling your passion:

As a Material Planner within Pressure Pumping HQ Integrated Supply Chian team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Work with the sales and commercial team, HQ & region personnel, AMO, and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) across global operations into physical orders and ensure they are delivered to meet customer requirements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Application Engineering, Service Delivery, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless material flow and effective demand fulfillment. By leveraging data-driven insights and proactive planning, you will support inventory optimization initiatives, improve asset utilization, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that maximize value for the business and our customers.

As a Material Planner you will be responsible for:

  • Workingwith the sales, operations, and application engineering teams to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understanding business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.

  • Analyzing incoming demand to identify order exceptions, misalignment with product stocking strategies, and opportunities to utilize existing inventory.

  • Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.

  • Working with the Service Delivery to prioritize delivery dates as needed (push outs, pull ins).

  • Performing various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged purchase orders, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.

  • Responsible for creating the materials delivery tickets in SAP and coordinating with warehouse and logistics for delivery to destination.

  • Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and work with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly.

  • Responsible for meeting HQ9s inventory targets that are aligned to the product lines strategies.

  • Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured.

  • Assisting in executing continuous improvement projects to maximize value.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have associates' education in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years experience)

  • Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management.

  • Have knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)

  • Be able to work with and influence stakeholders

  • Have strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency

  • Be able to communicate in English fluently (both written and verbal)

  • Have APICS Certification (preferred, but not required)
