Full Job Description
The Materials Manager for Voyager Lunar Systems, formerly Astrobotic Technology, is responsible for leading all material handling, inventory control, and logistics operations in a low-rate, high-complexity aerospace manufacturing environment. The position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is part of the Supply Chain based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is onsite based in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, the essential functions are: - Oversee daily material handling operations, ensuring accurate receiving, inspection, storage, and movement of aerospace materials and components. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of material handlers, providing training on aerospace handling standards, safety, and FOD prevention. - Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure material readiness for upcoming builds, engineering changes, and configuration updates. - Oversee ERP/MRP material transactions and ensure timely and accurate inventory reporting to support planning. - Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conforming material issues and support MRB processes. - Contribute to the development of materials management procedures and policies that increase the control of all property. - Support budgeting, capacity planning, and resource management for materials operations. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in materials management in a complex R&D/low-rate production environment OR 14+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficient with inventory reporting systems Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in aerospace or DOD industry - Experience complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and NASA requirements for materials and property compliance Travel, Physical, and/or Government Mandated Requirements: - Ability to lift, move or carry items or equipment up to 35 pounds The good faith base salary rangefor this role is $80,000-$120,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
