JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Manager, Canada is accountable for leading the strategic marketing direction and execution for Starkey Canada. This position serves as the primary liaison between Starkey Canada's commercial organization and Corporate Marketing, ensuring all Canadian marketing initiatives, communications, and collateral remain aligned with global brand standards and strategic objectives. The role partners closely with Canadian sales leadership to identify market opportunities, develop growth strategies, and translate customer and market insights into actionable commercial programs. Additionally, this position provides leadership and oversight to Starkey Canada's retail marketing support function, ensuring customers receive expert guidance and access to effective marketing services and solutions that drive business growth. The Marketing Manager is also accountable for the planning, execution, and evaluation of all customer-facing events, trade shows, meetings, and commercial engagement activities across Canada.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary liaison between Starkey Canada and corporate marketing

  • Partner closely with Corporate Marketing to ensure all Canadian marketing initiatives are aligned with global brand standards, messaging, product positioning, and strategic priorities.

  • Coordinate the adaptation and localization of global marketing campaigns, materials, product launch assets, and customer communications for the Canadian marketplace.

  • Ensure consistency across all customer-facing marketing collateral, digital content, promotional programs, and communication channels.

  • Advocate for Canadian market requirements and customer needs within global marketing planning discussions.

  • Partner with sales leadership to identify and execute market opportunities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Canadian sales organization.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify market trends, growth opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs.

  • Develop commercial marketing strategies designed to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, market share expansion, and customer retention.

  • Develop and maintain marketing performance metrics to assess program effectiveness and business impact.

  • Drive accountability and execution of the marketing process and initiative.

  • Lead Canada retail marketing function and customer marketing support services

  • Serve as Starkey Canada subject matter expert on retail marketing services and customer marketing support programs.

  • Directly manage and develop the Retail Marketing Specialist position.

  • Ensure customers receive timely, effective, and value-added marketing consultation and support.

  • Evaluate current marketing services and identify opportunities to enhance customer adoption and ROI.

  • Lead event strategy, planning, and execution

  • Accountable for planning, coordination, execution, and measurement of all Starkey Canada events and commercial engagement activities.

  • Manage customer meetings, sales meetings, product launch events, partner events, trade shows, educational programs, and national conferences.

  • Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, logistics, timelines, and execution plans.

  • Building High Performing Teams

  • Evaluate and assess region to understand key skill gaps and competency strengths

  • Emphasis on frequent feedback and coaching opportunities through quarterly performance review discussions

  • Coaching conversations with thorough feedback documentation for each team member

  • Create and implement individual development plans for each direct report

  • Focus on training and conducting monthly training engagements to include content and product refreshers, best practices, and marketing process

  • Assess, develop and advocate for appropriate marketing resources to ensure reps are prepared to succeed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in business/marketing

  • Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience working in performance marketing, growth marketing, media, demand generation, digital marketing, or integrated campaign management.

  • People management experience is preferred.


Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Working knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, graphic design, content marketing, and social media marketing.

  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint.
