Full Job Description
Resource Innovations is seeking a Marketing Lead to join our growing team in our Chicago, IL offices to support the planning, management, and execution of integrated marketing programs for utility clients and energy transformation initiatives. This role serves as a key day-to-day partner to clients, program teams, and internal marketing resources, helping ensure marketing campaigns and projects are delivered on strategy, on time, and with measurable impact.

As a Marketing Lead you will oversee the execution of a wide range of marketing activities including customer engagement campaigns, email marketing, paid media, events, creative development, digital marketing, website projects, and stakeholder communications. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to manage priorities, coordinate resources, monitor performance, and drive successful project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong account management skills with exceptional project management abilities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Agency experience is preferred.

Requirements

Lead Client & Account Management
  • Serve as a day-to-day marketing contact for assigned clients, helping facilitate seamless program, campaign, and project management.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and program teams through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client goals, program objectives, customer audiences, and market dynamics.
  • Support the development of strategic recommendations, marketing plans, presentations, and points of view.


Manage Marketing Projects & Campaign Execution
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing initiatives including email campaigns, paid media, digital marketing, events, website projects, and print/digital collateral.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and workflows across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Partner with internal teams to define project scope, deliverables, priorities, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and deliverables to support successful program execution.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks.
  • Manage project workflow utilizing the project management system


Drive Communication & Team Performance
  • Lead status meetings and project discussions with clients and internal teams.
  • Present recommendations, project updates, campaign results, and performance insights in a clear and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of client goals, key performance indicators, and business metrics.
  • Help teams identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement based on performance data and market insights.


Foster Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate efforts across Account Management, Creative, Web Operations, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain visibility into project status, timelines, budgets, and resource needs across assigned accounts.
  • Support quality assurance processes and help ensure deliverables meet client expectations and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows, processes, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous learning.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $70,000-$111,000. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
