Full Job Description
What you’ll be doing…

As a critical leader within the newly established Strategy & Transformation team, you will operationalize the resource supply, finances, and execution timelines for the organization. In this role, you will serve as the analytical and financial architect for both the core marketing roadmap and the broader business transformation roadmap.

You will bridge the gap between financial planning and marketing execution by aligning multi-quarter views that tie active programs directly to budget planning, actuals, OKRs, and capacity constraints. Following investment deployment, you will rigorously track financial value realization. This process-oriented role requires a deep understanding of marketing data and metrics to illuminate variances between planned versus actual performance, driving continuous improvement and strategic lessons learned for subsequent quarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Multi-Quarter Roadmapping: Align complex campaign plans across all organizational pillars into a single, cohesive, multi-quarter and multi-year strategic roadmap. Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder workshops to scale the marketing roadmap in alignment with established OKRs.

  • Budget Orchestration: Closely track marketing budget allocations, forecasts, and actuals, linking spend directly to specific campaign actions and milestones on the roadmap.

  • Value Realization Tracking: Manage the tracking mechanisms and post-mortem frameworks that audit completed investments, assessing whether they realized their projected revenue and overall business value.

  • Pipeline Visibility: Utilize data, metrics, and analytics to inform leadership about the predictability, performance, and overall health of the customer pipeline.

  • Operational Efficiency: Identify repeatable tasks and operational bottlenecks to optimize and streamline workflows, reduce production timelines, maximize team capacity, and remove operational friction from execution pillars.

What We’re Looking For…

To be successful in this role, you should possess exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to forge strong cross-functional partnerships. You are a clear, visionary communicator who practices active empathy to understand the diverse perspectives and operational constraints of various stakeholders across a matrixed organization.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant professional experience, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic roadmapping, workflow governance, and capacity management models.

  • Functional experience in marketing or a closely related business discipline.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or specialized certification in Business, Finance, or Operations).

  • Four or more years of experience in Marketing Operations, Strategic Planning, Business Transformation, or similar cross-functional roles within a large, matrixed enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex prioritization decisions and complicated workflows into simple, clean, and standardized formats for diverse audiences.

  • Capability to evaluate marketing spend through the lens of corporate finance, ROI, and budget management.

  • A continuous-improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining operational workflows and eliminating process bottlenecks.

  • Experience with sales operations, distribution channel management, or vendor/contract management.

  • Sustained experience successfully managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
