Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

The Market Service Leader will manage, engage, develop, and retain an assigned team in collaboration with leadership and other key stakeholders by leading, engaging, monitoring, coaching and fostering an environment that encourages long-term career development. When appropriate, this position will also be responsible for managing an assigned book of business.

In This Role You Will Execute On:
  • Lead, engage, coach, mentor, guide and manage performance of an assigned team. Collaborate with leadership in all talent functions including staffing selection, account assignments, performance evaluation, and team development ensuring appropriate levels of productivity, team effectiveness, support, and resources are in place to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Manage work assignments, attendance, and time off requests for assigned team.
  • Liaise with leadership, Foundations, and Talent teams to lead onboarding and training of new team members ensuring appropriate training plans are created and followed.
  • Manage and track training and development progress for all assigned team members; conduct milestone assessments to calibrate and document development. Recommend promotion or development plans and work with appropriate stakeholders to implement.
  • Assess performance levels for assigned team; participate in talent planning, performance management, and feedback efforts leading professional development conversations when appropriate.
  • Address internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved; escalating issue to leadership for guidance or assistance as needed.
  • Oversee Client Engagement Strategy (CES) compliance, lead CES meeting prep ensure collaboration and participation from all stakeholders; participate CES meetings as needed.
  • Lead and manage service functions serving as the primary client contact for book of business as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


In This Role You Will Need:
  • A minimum of five (5) years insurance brokerage or related experience within the assigned discipline (property & casualty).
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Appropriate designations for the assigned discipline highly desired.
  • Current insurance license in the assigned discipline.
  • Fluent in EPIC or similar agency management system.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to lead and conduct difficult conversations. Prior direct supervisory or leadership experience highly desired.
  • Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
