Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.       The Payroll Manager leads and oversees all core payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for caregivers across the organization. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining strong internal controls and standardized procedures. This position partners closely with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders and oversees payroll tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and year-end activities. You will develop and mentor the payroll team and drives process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and support organizational growth. A caregiver in this role works remotely from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. To be considered for this position, candidates need to reside in Northeast Ohio. A caregiver who excels in this role will:   Manage and process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Provide oversight for timekeeping system administration, audits, and issue resolution to ensure data integrity and payroll readiness. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements. Oversee payroll tax filings and reconciliations, manage agency notices and audits, and coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and audits. Partner with HRIS, Finance, ITD and other organizational teams on employee changes, benefits/deductions, bonuses, and special payroll runs. Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality. Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of findings. Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of payroll caregivers, supporting continuous improvement and process development. Drive payroll initiatives and projects to enhance system capabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support and execute business process initiatives that enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and (7) years of relevant payroll, tax, or finance and accounting experience in a corporate or professional services environment OR Associate’s degree and nine (9) years of Payroll/Managerial experience Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws Ability to work collaboratively with payroll and project teams during payroll system upgrades and implementations Knowledge of basic accounting functions Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Previous supervisory or managerial experience supporting payroll functions Tax Experience (preferably with payroll) Experience with Workday Experience with ADP Tax Experience working with larger organizations and multi-state taxes Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.  Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.   Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.   Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
