This dual role combines the responsibilities of Market Manager and Portfolio Marketer (APAC), requiring expertise in market trends, customer needs, and buyer personas within the Food Retail and Food Service segments. The individual connects where to play with how to win, ensuring strategy translates into measurable commercial impact. This role develops market strategies, Go-To-Market (GTM) plans, and sales enablement tools to drive growth and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the internal expert on market trends, dynamics, and customer needs
Develop and maintain market models, roadmaps, and strategies to drive solution development
Create go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, target audiences, and messaging
Develop sales and marketing enablement tools and resources to support product or solution introductions
Conduct persona mapping and journey development to understand buyer behavior and decision-making processes
Gather Voice of Customer insights to inform both market and go-to-market strategies
Translate market insights into targeted GTM strategies and enablement priorities
Ensure consistency between market strategy, positioning, messaging, and sales execution
Drive cross-functional alignment to improve customer engagement, conversion, and growth outcomes
KPIs
Market growth and GTM performance
Funnel velocity and conversion rates
Sales adoption and enablement effectiveness
Cross-sell / upsell performance
Customer engagement and feedback metrics
Required Qualifications
Minimum ten (10) years of combined experience in market strategy, marketing, or a related field in Food Retail & Food Service.
Proven leadership and communication skills with success in aligning cross-functional teams to execute market strategies and go-to-market plans.
Advanced proficiency with market modeling tools and data visualization tools for performance tracking and insight generation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills rooted in data-driven decision-making and audience-centric marketing.
A relentless pursuit of excellence and a strong desire to build agile systems that support commercial and operational excellence.
Deep commitment to ownership, continuous learning, and taking proactive steps to improve business and marketing outcomes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Offices (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Advanced knowledge of market segmentation, persona mapping, and buyer journey development.
Experience in developing market roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and sales enablement tools.
Deep understanding of Voice of Customer (VoC) insights and translating them into actionable strategies and go-to-market strategies.
Familiarity with digital tools such as ROI calculators, competitor cross-references, and selection tools, Power BI, Salesforce.
