Full Job Description
SUMMARY:

Supports the Bank's mission to be the best bank in the markets we serve through effective sales and service leadership, targeted business development efforts, and community involvement. The Market Executive is responsible for developing and managing business banking relationships in accordance with Fidelity Bank's core values and business principles in an assigned area. The incumbent leads the branches in the designated area in all business objectives including business development strategies, sales efforts, and market expansion. The focus is on loan production and deposit growth. The Market Executive will oversee all hiring and creation of new positions for their area branches.

LEVEL DETERMINATION - The Bank segments its' markets into 4 market categories (Expansion, Growth, Core and Established) and certain positions within the Bank have levels within that role to differentiate goals by market type and level of responsibility within the Bank.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

25% BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE EXCELLENCE:
  • Actively involved in creating and developing the branch focus (this is based on the market for the specific branch). Provide direction to each branch pertaining to the branch's business and sales plan.
  • Create a Personal Business Development Plan for designated area. Include prospect list on predetermined profitable business and retail relationships.
  • Represent the Bank within the community by developing and promoting additional business. Serve as an officer with at least one community organization.
  • Conduct customer and prospect calls for the Bank in order to deepen existing relationships and obtain new business.

25% CREDIT QUALITY/LOAN YIELD/PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT:
  • Manage and enhance the growth of loan portfolio.
  • Analyze loan applications, financial statements, and base credit decisions on Bank Loan Policy.
  • Minimize Loan losses and exceptions through effective documentation, underwriting, timeliness, and relationship building.
  • Interview potential loan customers and process loan requests.
  • Ensure ongoing credit quality by monitoring loans, managing past dues and watch list loans.

25% OPERATIONAL RISK/COMPLIANCE:
  • Ensures adherence with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of regulations and Bank Policies affecting operations, security, and lending.

25% MANAGING/LEADING/COACHING:
  • Supervise and provide leadership for the Branch Managers/BDOs in designated region. This includes managing career development for these associates.
  • Develop partnership with Branch Manager and associates in order to cultivate a positive referral process.
  • Conduct joint calls with BDOs and Branch Managers. Effectively manage all of the branches that are within the designated region.
  • Assist branches with all personnel issues.
  • Advise Managers in all hiring decisions.
  • Take direction from the Executive Vice-President- Regional Manager, which includes being involved in bank-wide decision making.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience in banking with emphasis in commercial lending, credit, and business development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of commercial lending, including the ability to evaluate cash flow and collateral.
  • Advanced financial analysis, strong credit underwriting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Thorough understanding of loan laws and regulations.
