The Business Development Manager drives profitable sales growth through strategic account management, new business development, and expansion of Torginol's Hub & Spoke programming.
This role will build and strengthen relationships with key customers, identify incremental sales opportunities, introduce and educate customers on new products, and develop programs that expand Torginol's presence through local flooring channels, including flooring stores, home builders, commercial specifiers, and other strategic market segments.
The Business Development Manager will serve as a strategic resource to customers-helping them grow their businesses while identifying opportunities to increase Torginol's sales volume, sample spend, Hybrid product penetration, and overall market presence and awareness.
This role requires a high level of customer engagement and frequent domestic travel to visit customers, attend industry trade shows, participate in customer events, support market-development initiatives, and represent Torginol throughout the marketplace.
Success in this position will be measured by incremental sales growth, new business revenue, Hybrid Flake growth, sample sales, successful Hub & Spoke implementation, customer engagement, and the development of long-term strategic relationships.
- Manage and grow key accounts: Build trusted customer partnerships, identify growth opportunities, expand Hybrid product and sample sales, and support achievement of annual sales goals.
- Lead Hub & Spoke expansion: Help key accounts develop local opportunities with flooring stores, home builders, commercial specifiers, and other strategic channels.
- Develop new business: Prospect, present to, onboard, and grow qualified accounts while building a sustainable sales pipeline and generating incremental revenue.
- Drive trade marketing and customer development: Create customer-specific marketing, merchandising, training, showroom, sample, and promotional programs that increase demand and product adoption.
- Represent Torginol in the market: Travel frequently throughout the United States to support customers, attend trade shows and events, deliver product presentations, and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with Customer Service, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and leadership to address customer needs, share market insights, and execute growth initiatives.
