Marine Service Sales Manager.Job Summary: The Marine Service Sales Manager serves as the
leader for Marine Service Sales, responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and elevating Hiller's presence across Inland, Offshore, Brown Water, and Blue Water markets. This role leads a
multi-office service sales organization, ensuring disciplined execution, strategic customer engagement, and alignment with enterprise commercial objectives. The position is accountable for
service sales strategy, performance management, competitive positioning, and long-term growth across all Marine divisions.
Pay Range: $160,000 - $181,000, plus bonus. The posted salary range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations. Not all candidates will be hired at the top of the posted range. The posted range reflects base salary only and does not include any applicable bonuses, commissions, overtime, or the value of employee benefits. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefit programs, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each plan.
Work Location/Travel: This is a fully remote role, ideal candidate location is in proximity to Mobile, AL, or other Eastern US locations, but all qualified candidates will be considered. Significant business travel is a requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end service sales strategy for Marine, Inland, Offshore, Brown Water, and Blue Water markets.
- Develop and execute growth plans that expand customer penetration, increase recurring service revenue, and strengthen Hiller's competitive position.
- Establish annual and quarterly revenue targets; drive disciplined execution to achieve or exceed goals.
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, pipeline development, and opportunity conversion.
- Conduct executive-level branch visits to reinforce expectations, assess performance, and support leadership development.
- Serve as the senior executive liaison for strategic Marine customers, major vessel operators, shipyards, and commercial marine accounts.
- Oversee customer engagement strategies that strengthen relationships, improve retention, and drive upsell opportunities.
- Ensure customer issues, inspection outcomes, and service follow-up are handled with urgency and executive oversight.
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and new service opportunities to inform strategic planning.
- Lead and develop a multi-office Marine Service Sales team, ensuring consistent execution across all branches.
- Oversee itinerary planning, proposal development, pricing consistency, and account growth strategies.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and implement improvement plans to ensure alignment with revenue targets.
- Partner with branch and division leadership to evaluate individual performance and build succession pipelines.
- Ensure sales teams maintain strong relationships with vessel operators, shipyards, port authorities, and marine decision-makers.
- Lead Bi-Monthly Marine Service Sales Meetings to review performance, budgets, pipeline health, and strategic accounts.
- Provide executive updates on key accounts, upselling opportunities, target accounts, and proposal status.
- Ensure alignment between service operations and service sales priorities to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Division Branches, service managers, and sales staff to support the "One Hiller" philosophy and enterprise sales alignment.
- Drive adoption and optimization of Salesforce and ServiceTrade to improve forecasting, pipeline visibility, and sales execution.
- Represent Hiller at industry organizations (OMSA, OTC, AWO, WorkBoat, etc.) to strengthen market presence and expand strategic relationships.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
What We Are Looking For:- 5+ years of service sales experience with a focus in maritime, shipyard, industrial service, or fire protection environments.
- Proven leadership of multi-office service sales teams with measurable revenue growth achievements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute service sales strategies that expand market share and drive sustained growth.
- Strong executive communication, commercial acumen, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate independently across dispersed coastal and inland regions.
- Valid driver's license; TWIC preferred.
- Preferred experience with fire protection systems and marine onboard equipment.
