Full Job Description
Summary:

The Margin Call Operations Clerk supports daily Futures Operations client margin activity with focus on accuracy, regulatory/internal controls, audit readiness, and process improvement. The role requires sound judgment and flexibility to support overnight backup coverage from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as needed.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Support daily margin call review, issuance, follow-up, escalation, and resolution within required deadlines.
  • Apply regulatory, exchange, internal control, and client requirements related to margin and collateral.
  • Perform quality control, document exceptions/manual updates, maintain audit evidence, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Support collateral funding, client balances, and time-sensitive issue resolution with internal teams and clients.
  • Identify automation and process-improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Support CSG tasks, including portal setup, statement inquiries, and other assigned duties.
  • Provide overnight backup coverage from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as needed.


Qualifications/Skills:
  • 4-10+ years in margin, clearing, or related futures operations at an FCM, broker-dealer, exchange, or clearinghouse preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of margin methodologies, exchange margin tools, initial/variation margin, intraday calls, and collateral management.
  • Strong understanding of futures products, margin requirements, client balances, and related workflows.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit readiness, and manual updates.
  • Sharp, decisive, and detail-oriented in high-pressure overnight situations.
  • Aptitude for automation, process improvement, and efficiency while maintaining controls.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with ownership, judgment, integrity, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, and dependability.
  • Comfort working overnight/non-standard hours, including 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. coverage and U.S. holidays as needed.
  • General knowledge to assist with client statement inquiries, including fees, commissions, balances, and account activity.
  • Strong GMI knowledge preferred; similar Futures operations platforms beneficia


The expected base salary ranges from $100,000 - $160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
