Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing / Production / Operations
Reports To: Production Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. This role supervises production teams, monitors performance metrics, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies and operational standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with operational discipline and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operational Execution
• Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and customer demand.
• Monitor KPIs including production output, scrap rate, downtime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Balancing the line in order to keep the production flow and calculate man power.
    • Ensure production schedules are executed according to plan.
    • Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
  1. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
    • Lead, coach, and develop production operators and team leads.
    • Conduct shift meetings and performance reviews.
    • Manage staffing levels, attendance, and shift coverage.
    • Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.
    3. Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA (or local regulatory) standards.
    • Lead safety audits and incident investigations.
    • Promote zero-incident culture.
    4. Quality Assurance
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
    • Support root cause analysis for defects and non-conformances.
    • Collaborate with Quality team on corrective and preventive actions.
    5. Continuous Improvement
    • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work).
    • Identify waste reduction opportunities.
    • Participate in process improvement and cost reduction projects.
    • Support implementation of standardized work and best practices.
    6. Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare daily production reports.
    • Analyze trends and escalate issues when needed.
    • Maintain accurate production and personnel records.


Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Technical degree with equivalent experience considered.

Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles strongly preferred.

Technical Skills
• Knowledge of production and headcount planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Understanding of Basic Industrial Engineering.
• Familiarity with quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, SPC).
