Full Job Description
Manufacturing Process Engineer
All Qualified candidates will be responded to in 24 hours or less

  • Develops and optimizes manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, and effectiveness on the production floor
  • Uses lean manufacturing principles as part of CPI initiatives
  • Identifies bottlenecks and waste in production processes
  • Creates metrics by collecting production data and applies statistical analyses to evaluate current vs. improved manufacturing processes
  • Champions Kaizen events to improve productivity
  • Documents and generates process flowcharts, process travelers, and work instructions
  • Calculates workspace requirements and designs strategies to optimize the facility's
workspace
  • Evaluates, suggests, and implements changes in production areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Evaluates, recommends, procures, and deploys production equipment as necessary to achieve CPI goals
  • Generates PFMEAs
  • Creates training documents and preventative maintenance manuals
  • BS degree in Process, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven track record in CPI in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading or being a team member in Kaizen events
  • Highly independent
  • Extensive experience using statistical analysis tools to monitor processes
  • Experience in generating PFMEAs
  • Working knowledge in soldering, brazing, and welding processes
  • familiarity with induction equipment for soldering and brazing operations a plus
  • Experience in the manufacturing of small electromechanical products desirable
  • Proven track record of resolving manufacturing problems
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficiency using MS Excel required
  • Ability to read engineering drawings a must

Rate: 100K - 130K Depending on experience and skills match
