Manufacturing Operations Analyst - Lean BPS Integrator

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a proactive and skilled SeniorManufacturing Operations Analyst - Lean BPS Integrator to support the Everett Delivery center team based out of Everett, Washington.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative team focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving flow, and driving enterprise-level continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a natural leader and Lean/BPS integrator who can train and mentor less experienced employees in group leadership and facilitation skills. In this role, you will coordinate and integrate complex activities across multiple functions and external organizations to support business objectives and operational performance.

The selected candidate will serve as a trusted Lean/BPS consultant, using Lean methodologies, Boeing Production System principles, and data-driven analysis to identify opportunities, reduce risk, and improve unit hour and flow performance. This position requires the ability to work under consultative direction, influence cross-functional teams, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Lean/BPS consultant, utilizing Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Train and mentor less experienced team members in leadership and facilitation skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency
  • Coordinate and integrate complex activities across various functions and external partners to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness leveraging Oobeya rooms
  • Identify and assess the impact of changes on the production system, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure seamless operations
  • Lead teams in conducting thorough assessments of processes and practices, comparing them against applicable standards and criteria to identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights, feedback on assessment results, and recommendations for enhancing operational performance
  • Collaborate with organizations to develop strategies, plans, and metrics that align with business objectives and drive success
  • Work under consultative direction, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of enablers for unit hour and flow reduction, ensuring that functional teams are aligned and committed to achieving targets
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement and potential areas of risk within operational processes


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience on continuous improvement, process improvement, or manufacturing/operations
  • 5+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in continuous improvement, organizational development, leadership development, or change management - or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years' experience specifically working with cross-functional program teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, etc.) in a large aerospace or defense environment
  • Experience leveraging Oobeya rooms or similar visual management/collaboration tools to support team alignment and execution
  • Experience in facilitating the development of enablers for unit hour reduction, flow improvement, or productivity improvements
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Change Management, or facilitator/coach certifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members in leadership and facilitation practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise operations and driving improvements through structured problem solving and data-driven decision-making
