Main Purpose of Job:

This position leads the site and drives activities to improve performance in the critical areas of HSE, Quality, Production, and Cost. The Manufacturing Manager works directly with the Factory Manager and plant leadership team to develop, analyze, and achieve plant goals and objectives.

Role and Activity
  • Establishes operational objectives and assignments with site leadership team and Business Unit Managers.
  • Analyzes data, trends, resources, and internal forecasts to lead development of manufacturing strategic planning in support of overall site goals and objectives.
  • Develops and manages annual Operations budget.
  • Manages and oversees the production/operations Managerial Team.
  • Monitors and evaluates manufacturing effectiveness and affects changes using Continuous Improvement management philosophy.
  • Responsible for: developing people; improving processes and reducing costs.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
  • Five-years related experience (preferred).

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $120,000 and $150,000 per year.
