Your role and responsibilities:
Manage the maintenance department for the Athens, GA Plant with a preventive and predictive approach and maintain a team working environment centered on customer service. Be proactive in the Lean Flex Flow initiative and champion all needed changes. Be a leader and set a good example for safety in the workplace.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead all maintenance operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of preventive, predictive, and TPM initiatives to maximize equipment reliability and asset performance.
- Drive safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to OSHA and corporate policies while leading incident investigations, risk mitigation, and safety training strategies.
- Optimize performance and costs, leveraging CMMS data, continuous improvement, and Lean practices to reduce downtime, improve processes, and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Manage team and cross-functional collaboration, overseeing staffing, development, and performance while coordinating with production, engineering, and external partners to support facility objectives and emergency response.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelors Degree with minimum 8 years experience OR Associates Degree with minimum 10 years experience OR High School Diploma with minimum 12 years experience. Experience should include manufacturing maintenance specifically with hands-on troubleshooting of PLC controlled automated equipment (electrical and mechanical) and root cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TPM and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), with experience using or implementing reliability-based maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, applying analytical problem-solving to drive continuous improvement. (Lean Certifications 6 Preferred).
- Technical proficiency with tools and systems such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) and PLC software (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Baldor Workbench).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics, engineering drawings, manuals, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and effectively operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
