Responsibilities

  • Provide reports on maintenance planning and scheduling activities executed and modified.
  • Track and analyze breakdowns and insights from maintenance processes.
  • Review and prioritize defects and SAP work orders within 24 hours of generation.
  • Manage planned maintenance work and report on completions supporting daily plans.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks during planned stops across shifts with the Line Structure Team.
  • Lead investigations of breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Lead to join us at our Manufacturing Facility in Richmond, VA. This role will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the maintenance planning and scheduling, breakdown elimination and daily management systems for the area; coaching line teams to improve technical ability and providing continuity to other Progressive Maintenance and IWS systems.

You will also be responsible for interpreting and analyzing maintenance data for the line/area. This role must champion a zero-loss mindset by driving to root cause, reinforcing adherence to standards, and supporting total employee ownership.

What you will be doing:

  • Actively participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings to develop the action plan for the day to include reporting on results for the previous 24 hours
  • Provide maintenance planning and scheduling reports to include number of planned maintenance activities executed, number of planned maintenance tasks created / modified, etc.
  • Track number of breakdowns and insights from maintenance processes and systems (i.e. defects found and fixed, TroubleCall data, etc.)
  • Review and prioritize defects with the Line Structure Team
  • Review and prioritize SAP work orders and notifications within 24 hours of generation and keeping backlog current
  • Manage planned maintenance work and report on work completions and other maintenance activities that support the plan for the day and/or mitigate top losses
  • Support and coordinate with Line Structure Team maintenance tasks that can be completed during planned stops across shifts
  • Partner with planning and scheduling resources to prioritize weekly maintenance schedules
  • Lead and support the investigation of breakdowns, updating dice charts, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Create one-point lessons, and build team capability for maintenance activities
  • Identify improvement opportunities through maintenance KPIs and in-process measures
  • Work with the Technical Support Team to add/delete/modify preventative and predicative maintenance tasks


What we want you to have:

  • Bachelor and/or associate's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical knowledge (mechanical or electrical) to include scheduling and planning experience
  • Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance for maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management, equipment data analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives is preferred
  • Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions including tools such as Power BI, Tableau or any other relevant software
  • Experience with maintenance systems including preventative/predicative, reliability/equipment lifecycle management, etc
  • Manufacturing Production experience and knowledge of processes and equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Demonstrated the ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment
  • Skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
  • Willing to have the flexiblity to float to the back shifts, when needed


The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $80,800.00 - $118,750.00.
