Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: Greer, South Carolina (On-site)

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing / Plant Manager

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering activities to support the efficient, scalable, and high-quality production of Airsys' HVAC and data center cooling products. This role plays a critical part in driving process excellence, supporting new product introductions, and optimizing manufacturing systems across fabrication, assembly, and testing operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience within HVAC, thermal management, cooling equipment, or related electro-mechanical manufacturing environments, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Manufacturing Engineering Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team to support production, quality, and continuous improvement objectives
  • Establish engineering priorities aligned with production goals, safety, quality, and cost targets
  • Serve as a key technical partner to Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D teams

Process Development & Optimization
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for HVAC and cooling systems, including fabrication, brazing/welding, assembly, and functional testing
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Develop andmaintainstandard work, routings, work instructions, and process documentation

New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Lead manufacturing engineering support for new product launches, ensuring smooth transition from design to production
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and cost efficiency (DFM/DFA)
  • Support pilot builds, validation testing, and ramp-up to full production

Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Quality to support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process capability improvements
  • Utilize data and KPIs to drive performance improvements in yield, scrap, rework, and cycle time
  • Support internal and external audits as needed

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, withat least 3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Proven experience inHVAC, cooling systems, thermal management, refrigeration, or similar electro-mechanical manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, welding/brazing, assembly, and testing
  • Experience supporting NPI and high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiencyin standard engineering tools and systems (CAD, ERP/MRP, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience manufacturingdata center cooling equipment, chillers,fanwalls, heat exchangers, or related HVAC products
  • Familiarity with ASME, UL, or other relevant industry standards
  • Experience scaling manufacturing operations in a growing or evolving production environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to production floor conditions
  • Ability to travel occasionally to suppliers or otherAirsysfacilities as needed
