Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for one or more production cells with a focus on improving first-pass yield, sustaining production, and supporting new products as they move into manufacturing.
This position is located onsite in Wood Dale, Illinois.In this role, a typical day will look like:- Drive sustainment of manufacturing and identify opportunities to improve quality.
- Maintain production lines to support on-time delivery goals.
- Work with quality and suppliers to identify root causes of component failures and implement countermeasures.
- Develop production cell layouts, fixturing, and standard work for new production lines.
- Partner with new product development and line engineering teams to qualify new and revised parts.
The essential requirements of the job include- Bachelor's degree in engineering, required. A background in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with 3D modelling software and processes (SolidWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of engineering design and drawings, as well as manufacturing and assembly processes and techniques
- Experience with production or operations procedures and structured problem-solving techniques.
It would be nice if you also possess:- Knowledge of part fabrication techniques such as casting, molding, and machining, and typical materials.

The compensation range for this role is $85000 - $100000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
