Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team by testing the electronic boards (PCBA), quality control of parts and accessories to ensure the Supermicro products can meet the industrial and company quality standard. The candidate is responsible for daily operation of quality control for Supermicro products, isolate and analyze the defect products, prepare the report and liaison with QA team for product improvement. The candidate can work efficiently in fast-paced production environment to meet dynamic sale order and production assembly demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Production Line Support:
    • Oversee daily operations on the production floor to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Provide technical support to resolve issues that arise during production and minimize downtime.
  2. Process Optimization:
    • Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing(5S etc) and Six Sigma.
  3. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
    • Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot/communicate mechanical, electrical, and software related issues on production equipment.
  4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to identify and address production issues impacting product quality.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software related issues on production equipment(coordinate with equipment engineer).
  5. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, performance & output.
    • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to the Managers.
  6. Team Collaboration & Supervision:
    • Work closely with production operators and technicians to monitor and manage workflow.
    • Provide guidance and technical support to the production team to improve skill sets and efficiency.
    • Support manager to coordinate team properly.
    • Prepare Skill matrix of Team and preparing development plan for each team member.
  7. Inventory & Resource Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and spare parts to prevent disruptions in production.
    • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely availability of required materials.
  8. Safety & Environmental Compliance:
    • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
    • Identify and implement measures to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and promote environmental sustainability.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

The physical demands and work conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
• Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry items.
• Perform tasks that require standing and walking for long periods up to entire shift.
• Lift, carry, push and pull in an excess of 25lb and up to 40lbs. Able to utilize a "buddy system" for moving objects more than 50 lbs.

(For applicable positions: Must be able to operate pallet jack and forklift efficiently and safely.)
• Must be able to wear safety shoes, earmuffs or other required PPE as needed.
• Primarily works indoors with controlled climate conditions.

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics or high-tech industry.
  • Previous experience in optimizing production processes and working with cross functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, etc.). Experience with analytical tools/software such as Minitab, Power BI, or other statistical analysis programs is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address production issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with production operators, technicians, and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to occasionally provide support beyond regular working hours in case of production emergencies.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols.


Salary Range

$73,500 - $100,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
