JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Industrialization, Tooling & Performance to support the implementation and ramp-up of a new aeroderivative engine program based on the CFM56-5B.

This role focuses on how defined manufacturing processes are executed at scale, ensuring that tools, equipment, layouts, and assembly methods enable safe, efficient, and repeatable execution at target rate, cost, and safety performance.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be a hands-on presence on the shop floor, closely following engines through assembly and conversion, working directly with aerotechnicians to capture feedback first-hand and introduce practical improvements to tooling, sequencing, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Own tooling, fixtures, and equipment readiness required to execute aeroderivative engine assembly safely and at target production rate
  • Optimize assembly and introduction of new aeroderivative parts, focusing on repeatability, ergonomics, and error-proofing
  • Maintain a hands-on presence on the shop floor, following engines through assembly
  • Work directly with aerotechnicians to capture execution challenges and improvement opportunities first-hand
  • Translate shop-floor feedback into practical improvements to tooling, workstations, and assembly methods
  • Support Make-Ready, First Engine, and ramp-up activities to achieve rate, cost, and safety targets
  • Identify and mitigate execution, ergonomic, and safety risks related to new parts, tools, or processes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in:
    • Engine MRO, assembly, or industrialization
    • Hands-on manufacturing engineering roles
  • Strong practical understanding of:
    • Tooling and fixtures
    • Engine assembly and handling
    • Shop-floor execution in regulated environments
  • Comfortable working directly with technicians and production teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
