Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides engineering support to a manufacturing line after product launch.


  • Interfaces with line operators, team leads, production supervisors, and managers to support newly launched product lines.


  • Conducts all aspects of process validation.


  • Gathers, analyzes, and generates reports on how a manufacturing line performs in production.


  • Develops manufacturing SOP and SWI work instructions.


  • Monitors performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.


  • Works with a senior engineer with guidance to design process improvements, including manual tools or upgrades to existing equipment to optimize manufacturing metrics or correct issues found in manufacturing.


  • Works with a senior engineer's guidance to develop inspection and test requirements.


  • Uses statistics to provide support to manufacturing process development.


  • Initiate and champion CDPs


  • Design and procure assembly aids and fixtures


  • Conduct Design reviews of manual or semi-automated assembly equipment.


  • May travel to equipment vendors to support Factory Acceptance Testing activities.


Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience OR an advance degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of Medtronic North Haven BPCS and Agile systems.


  • 1+ Years supporting existing products in a manufacturing environment


  • Direct experience conducting various aspects of assembly process validation.


  • Working knowledge of Creo or SolidWorks a plus


For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
