Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (internships/co-ops count).
• Preferred experience in resin, prepreg, or other continuous process industries.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement programs is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage capital or continuous improvement projects to completion.
• Strong oral and written communication skills essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint required.
• Preferred experience with SPC and statistical techniques, as well as mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to achieve safety, quality, material usage, yield, on-time delivery, and throughput targets.
• Analyze resin, film, and prepreg manufacturing procedures and processing conditions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and oversee equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for resin mix, film, or prepreg processes.
• Maintain documentation for resin mix, film, and prepreg processes through detailed procedures and specifications.
• Manage processing conditions and material properties using SPC techniques and ensure adherence to Process Control Document.
• Investigate material non-conformances, performing root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Create and establish processing conditions for new equipment/materials and provide necessary training to staff.
• Direct maintenance engineers to enhance equipment or expand facilities, ensuring new implementations meet design criteria.
