Full Job Description
Hexcel is currently seeking a Production Manager for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. A successful candidate will manage the day-to-day production activities across multiple shifts in assigned areas with both direct and indirect team members. They will lead manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, facilitate the development of team members, manage the development and implementation of training methods, coordinate manufacturing activities between the production areas, and utilize real-time data to enhance manufacturing processes and support the delivery of long-term solutions.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Consistently maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment with strong engagement by employees and accountability of supervisors and leads.
  • Strong focus on behavior-based safety through strong leadership, adherence to observation programs and proactive balanced real-time feedback and actions.
  • Develop and improve processes to meet customer requirements safely and fully, giving quality, delivery, cost, and morale equal consideration.
  • Effectively identify and communicate with cross-functional team, including S&M, any risk to customer demands or financial plans and clear line of sight for resolution including escalating help needed.
  • Establish Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time bound (SMART) objectives, and monitor progress through effective follow through to monitor link to Plant and Strategic Objectives.
  • Inspire, develop, recognize, and retain subordinates to create a strong succession plan and pool of professional talent.
  • Establish and maintain a professional and collaborative work environment to help ensure Casa Grande remains a viable and healthy facility and provides a satisfactory work environment.
  • Responsible for developing and meeting financial budget for the focus factory [areas] including production forecasts, headcount requirements, expenses, and capital expenditure needs.
  • Develop training methods, benchmark standards, and administer their implementation.
  • Increase throughput, reduce inventories, and reduce operating expenses continuously.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years9 manufacturing experience required.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP/MRP/MES (Microsoft AX and Dassault Systems DELMIA Apriso preferred) and full Microsoft Office Suite of products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven capabilities to improve processes and metrics through continuous improvement.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to large groups and to provide effective group and individual training.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation with excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical field or related discipline preferred.
  • Additional preferred qualifications include prior front-line supervisory responsibility; Lean Six Sigma training and/or certification; Aerospace industry experience including understanding of AS9100; Materials management, logistics, and supply chain experience.
