Full Job Description
Strong financial insight can make a meaningful difference in how manufacturing teams manage costs, inventory, capacity, and performance. As the Manufactured Solutions Accounting Manager, you'll lead the accounting team supporting manufacturing operations while partnering closely with leaders to turn financial information into actionable business insights. This role offers the opportunity to influence operational decisions, improve financial processes, develop people, and help drive the continued performance of Manufactured Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting team supporting Manufacturing, establishing consistent processes and standards across teams and locations
  • Develop and coach manufacturing accounting staff through ongoing feedback, training, and growth opportunities
  • Evaluate accounting processes and system workflows to improve efficiency, controls, and visibility
  • Own the month-end close process for manufacturing, including review of financial results, key schedules, and supporting analysis
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining the integrity of financial data and systems
  • Provide meaningful analysis of manufacturing performance, including KPIs, inventory, overhead, and other key business drivers
  • Lead product-level financial reporting, including margin analysis, cost tracking, and variance explanations
  • Lead cash flow management through forecasting, timely billing, collections, payables, and coaching teams on cash-impacting decisions
  • Lead forecasting and financial planning processes for manufacturing operations, providing accurate and timely visibility to leadership
  • Partner with operations leaders on inventory management strategies that balance production needs, cash flow, and operational efficiency
  • Support audits, internal controls, compliance requirements, and related reporting
  • Partner with other accounting leaders to promote consistent standards across the Accounting Home Base

Knowledge & Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading and developing accounting teams
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills
  • Experience with inventory, product costing, margin analysis, and financial performance reporting
  • Ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights that support operational and business decisions
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with process improvement, financial systems, and internal controls

Location

Sioux Falls, SD; Sioux Center, IA; or Omaha, NE are preferred locations. Hybrid work may be considered for the right candidate who is located near an Interstates regional office.

Travel

10-15% travel is expected.
