Full Job Description
Krauter & Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead and grow its Private Equity Casualty Practice. This senior leadership role is responsible for advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on complex casualty risks throughout the investment lifecycle while driving strategic growth, market engagement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, negotiation, and placement of sophisticated casualty insurance programs for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Develop and maintain strong carrier and market relationships to deliver innovative risk transfer and alternative risk financing solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth through client retention, cross-selling opportunities, and new business development initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on M&A transactions, due diligence, risk assessments, and program optimization.
  • Oversee a significant book of business while ensuring exceptional client service and execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of brokers and client service professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute practice growth strategies, establish performance goals, and strengthen talent development initiatives.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to deliver tailored, data-driven solutions that align with client objectives and long-term risk management strategies.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of insurance brokerage experience, with significant expertise in casualty programs, private equity, M&A, or complex commercial risk.
  • Active Property & Casualty License.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven success leading teams, managing client relationships, and delivering results in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in loss-sensitive programs, alternative risk transfer solutions, captives, and complex policy structures.


Pay Range
250000 - 300000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
