J.S. Held's Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead and expand our investigative consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in complex investigations and litigation -paired with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and growing a book of business.

As a Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, leading high-impact engagements, mentoring talent, and cultivating long-term client relationships across industries and geographies.

Strategic Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of investigative professionals across multiple regions.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.
  • Drive internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.

Client Engagement & Project Oversight
  • Oversee and execute complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations involving regulatory inquiries, compliance reviews, financial transactions, and litigation support.
  • Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.

Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Global Investigations Practice.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
  • Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $240k - $260k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
