Featuring 785 spacious, luxurious accommodations, more than 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event space, harbor front and rooftop pools, multiple food and beverage outlets, a spa, golf course, water features, and other premium amenities, Sunseeker Resort provides an outstanding platform for a talented Managing Director/General Manager (MDGM) to excel.
As leader of Sunseeker Resort, the MDGM will oversee all operations and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen the property's position as a premier waterfront destination. Key priorities include driving financial performance and revenue growth, cultivating a culture of luxury and sophistication, and building a world-class team aligned with the resort's service standards. Through visible engagement with guests and the local community, the MDGM will help shape the resort's identity, elevate its service culture, and distinguish it within the luxury and lifestyle hospitality market.
Responsibilities: As the Managing Director/General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations, strategy, and growth of the hotel. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional management skills to ensure the resort's success in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational efficiency, and achieving financial goals.
Strategic Leadership:- Strategic partner with regular and effective communication with ownership group and asset managers.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to drive the resort's growth and profitability.
- Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to make informed business decisions.
- Set long-term goals and objectives for the resort and work towards achieving them.
- Partners with the Community
Team Leadership:- Assures staff are recruited, selected, trained, counseled, and rewarded to maintain performance standards while "providing service beyond expectations".
- Lead a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
- Encourage teamwork and open communication across all departments.
- Foster a strong support group and networking pipeline for key leadership.
Operations Management:- Oversee all operational departments including sales, front office, food & beverage, banquets, housekeeping, spa, and more.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by implementing efficient processes and procedures.
- Monitor service quality to maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
Financial Management:- Create and manage the resort's budget, allocating resources appropriately to various departments.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive revenue generation through strategic pricing, upselling, and innovative offerings.
Guest Experience:- Foster a guest-centric culture throughout the resort, prioritizing personalized service and exceptional experiences.
- Address guest concerns and feedback promptly, striving for continuous improvement.
- Implement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Drive and deliver a first-class experience and create happiness to every guest.
Facilities Management:- Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of the resort's physical assets, including accommodations, amenities, and common areas.
- Implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the resort's environmental impact.
Regulatory Compliance:- Stay updated on local and national regulations related to the hospitality industry and ensure the resort's compliance.
- Maintain health and safety standards for guests and staff.

What are we looking for?To succeed in this role, you should have:- Proven leader with a significant track record and tenure in a large (over 600+ room) luxury or lifestyle resort as a General Manager or Managing Director preferably in a upper upscale 4 diamond resort.
- A minimum of 10+ years of progressive growth with good career path trajectory and stability in full-service luxury hotels/resorts showing positive results
- A college degree or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a college degree, preferably in Hospitality, or Travel & Tourism Management.
- Must have strong sales acumen and show a track record of profits in sales, revenues, and all aspects the resort including high-level Food and Beverage.
- Spa, golf, and condo experience preferred.
- Strong owner relationship and presentation skills required.
- Significant experience in the Florida convention, leisure travel, and tourist market is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills.
- The flexibility to adapt to varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation:Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
