Position: Warehouse ManagerPosition Overview:Will direct, coordinate and plan the ordering, storage and distribution of supplies, tools and equipment throughout the Region. Responsible for directing the work activities of warehouse personnel in multiple locations. Travel throughout the region including overnight stays as required.
Position Responsibilities:- Direct and manage the daily activities of a team of Warehouse Supervisors ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service, quality and timeliness.
- Work with Technical Operations Managers and other department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities and effective forecasting of supply needs and maintain an inventory adequate to ensure excellent customer service.
- Engage in ordering, receiving, securing and issuing of materials while maintaining excellent documentation of transactions and administration of operational procedures in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure proper hiring and evaluating of employee's performance is consistent for Warehouse Supervisors in the region.
- Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss.
- Take part in quarterly cycle counts, including identifying, researching and determining resolution of variances
- All other duties as assigned or required.
Position Requirements:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing or Inventory Management, or related studies and ability to demonstrate understanding of supply chain mechanics and inventory control required.
- 2 to 3 years' supervisory experience required.
- Experience using purchasing and inventory control software.
- Intermediate computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel.
- Cable experience preferred.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Travel with overnight stays required.
