Full Job Description
Manager, Visual Merchandising - Americas, West Coast is responsible for visual merchandising initiatives across the Diptyque West Coast retail and wholesale including TR and Indies network (and LATAM as requested by Director), ensuring a consistently elevated and cohesive expression of the Maison across all client touchpoints. The role is based in Los Angeles, California.

Reporting to the Director of Visual Merchandising, this role will partner closely with the Retail, Sales and Marketing teams to bring the Maison's visual storytelling to life across boutiques, department stores, shop-in-shops, travel retail and independent partners throughout the region.

This role requires a highly collaborative and field-oriented leader with strong operational discipline, creative sensibility, and the ability to drive excellence across diverse retail environments.

Key Accountabilities

Visual Merchandising Execution & Planning
  • Plan, implement and elevate execution of visual merchandising strategies, launches, seasonal animations and brand initiatives across the West Coast region
  • Ensure consistent implementation of visual merchandising standards across retail and wholesale environments
  • Maintain a strong in-field presence to support visual merchandising excellence in store
  • Manage visual merchandising installations for boutique openings, key campaign updates and store renovations, including wholesale construction management
  • Responsible for the physical installation of windows throughout the region during key strategic campaigns where needed
  • Support additional visual merchandising installations and brand initiatives including the Brand Summit across the region when requested
  • Ensure visual storytelling reflects both Maison standards and regional opportunities

Field Leadership & Execution Excellence
  • Act as the VM partner for West Coast Retail, Wholesale, Travel retail and Indie teams
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with store teams, wholesale partners, and regional leadership
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to elevate visual merchandising execution
  • Maintain constant communication with the field to support visual excellence, execution quality, and brand consistency
  • Identify opportunities to improve category visibility, productivity, and client engagement
  • Support prioritization of field initiatives based on business needs and commercial opportunity


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, and Operations teams to support regional initiatives and launches, including partnership with external agencies, partners and printers
  • Collaborate with Director of Visual Merchandising and Sales on assortment planning, local merchandising opportunities, and productivity initiatives
  • Support coordination and rollout planning for key visual merchandising updates and installations

Performance & Optimization
  • Monitor and assess execution quality across the region
  • Track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of VM initiatives, linking visual execution to commercial outcomes
  • Provide field feedback and insights to support future visual merchandising strategies
  • Support analysis of merchandising initiatives and performance by door

Project Management & Installations
  • Execute new VM installations and visual rollouts within budget and deadlines, ensuring seamless coordination with Global and local stakeholders
  • Support the Director of Visual Merchandising in managing timelines, budgets (CAPEX and OPEX), and resources across multiple concurrent initiatives within the region, ensuring strong operational discipline and seamless execution across all projects
  • Ensure high standards of execution from concept through installation

Additional Responsibilities
  • Partnership with visual merchandising ambassadors in the retail and wholesale network
  • Support local implementation of ephemeral architecture projects such as takeovers and pop ups in close partnership with Director of Visual Merchandising and Global HQ as appropriate
  • When requested by the Director of VM, partner with local and global team on murals and other West Coast brand out of home programs/activations
  • Complete VM forecasting process for all planning cycles in partnership with Director of Visual Merchandising
  • Ensure all window fixtures and VM kits are proactively coordinated with the warehouse and delivered to their intended destinations accurately and on schedule
  • Optimize the strategic use of evergreen windows to maximize longevity, operational efficiency, and brand impact across the network
  • Champion long-term sustainability and reusability of window fixtures through thoughtful planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management
  • Maintain multiple storage spaces for visual merchandising fixtures, including physically moving items to storage and supervising moving of heavy items
  • Optimize usage and cost of offsite storage spaces
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Key Requirements
  • 6-8+ years of visual merchandising experience within luxury retail
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale operations and client experience standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to connect visual merchandising initiatives to commercial performance and client experience outcomes
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong operational and budget discipline (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Adherence to T&E budgets, company policies, and travel guidelines, including timely expense reporting
  • Strong creative, design and aesthetic sensibility, with an appreciation for French culture and a natural affinity for art, nature, and culture
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to actively manage the hands-on physical execution of VM installations and window/vinyl installation up to 35 pounds, including fixture movement, prop placement, merchandising setup, packing/unpacking, and onsite troubleshooting to ensure flawless implementation and adherence to Maison standards
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to ~60-70%) and to work overnights on installations as required
  • Region territory can be re-aligned based on network expansion and business needs
