What is the opportunity?

Drive technology planning and design for evolving the digital experience of the field, clients and other users. Align the technology roadmap and implementation plans to support a best-in-class, user-centered digital experience. Responsible for experience design, field engagement and user acceptance testing of technology solutions/applications, serving as a primary point of input into technology rollouts, training, field support and change activities. Advocate on behalf of the USWM field and home office end users for technology decisions to drive profitability and efficiency, and help discover, design and deliver optimal solutions, factoring technology capabilities, business needs and strategic priorities. Builds and manages team to deliver on noted outcomes.

  • Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals
  • Ensure that all employees deliver consistent and required deliverables on each of their individual projects
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, setting performance expectations, hold consistent 1:1s, provide consistent feedback and address performance issues when necessary
  • Support the growth and development of team members, through mentorship, coaching and providing opportunities for professional development
  • Exemplify the leadership values and collective ambition focus of RBC
  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities
  • Understand and promotes all compliance and conduct risk requirements established by RBC
  • Ensure all employees stay up to date on all firm required training and attestations
  • Oversee all team members are responding to field update requests, including talking points, all field call agenda topics etc.
  • Oversees Technology Experience Consultants (TECs) that manage large-scale strategic technology initiatives
  • Working closely with the Director of Technology Experience Consulting to ensure there is Cross-Functional collaboration across TECs
  • Engage in strategic roadmap planning to create a unified end-user experience, providing necessary input and direction
  • Guide the TEC team in the rollout of new technologies, offering support to key stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of all project objectives
  • Promote executive awareness of the end-user implications when delivering technology; especially when there is a Minimum Viable Product released; by participating in key governance forums
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving technology adoption targets ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Stay informed about all technology changes being implemented within the team, ensuring alignment and effective management throughout.
  • Oversee a TEC deliverable project plan that establishes consistent processes and standards across the TEC team


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of financial services or related industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience with user research, change management and/or training for the adoption of new technology and processes
  • Understanding of the client and advisor engagement experience
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects while paying attention to detail
  • Strong technology background - able to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Advance technology and presentation skills: MS Office, Web-based learning tools, presentation hardware

The expected salary range for this particular position is $90,000-$160,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
