Full Job Description
The Opportunity

The primary goal of a Manager, Technology Delivery is to lead, mentor, and oversee the agile software development team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products across the enterprise. This is a technical role and requires the individual to understand data and software architecture, design, and testing principles, and be able to apply them to ensure the delivery of software products of the highest quality and standards.

Day in the Life
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the software development team, including setting clear goals, defining roles and responsibilities, and establishing a collaborative and motivating work environment.
  • Work with stakeholders to mentor the team to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely and successful delivery of software projects.
  • Offer technical guidance and expertise to the development team. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Provide support in architectural design, coding standards, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Foster the professional growth and development of team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to help them enhance their skills and advance their careers. Identify training needs and facilitate learning opportunities for the team.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication within the software development team and with other stakeholders. Encourage knowledge sharing, cross-functional cooperation, and effective communication channels to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure the team follows best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and quality assurance processes. Set and maintain high standards for software quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in software development projects. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of unforeseen issues on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including product owners, business leaders, and other teams, to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and address any concerns or issues. Foster strong relationships and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the software development team. Encourage feedback, collect data, and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and team performance. Implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff
  • Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement
  • Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems Business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Seven (7) years' experience in a software development role or developer subject matter expert role.
  • Three (3) years of Resource Management required.
  • Five (5) years in a senior or subject matter expert position.
  • Experienced in mentoring teams on Agile best practices
  • Experience in the financial industry or another highly regulated industry is a plus

Pay Equity
$117,000.00 - $152,100.00
Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
