Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? The Manager, Tax, Statements and Reporting within RBC Investor Services (IS) will lead a team of 5 full time individuals plus seasonal contractors where they are responsible for delivering unitholder tax, statement and report support services by leading the Year-end Tax project and other tax-related projects, as well as maintenance of pertaining procedural documents to mitigate operational, financial and reputational risk. The team also works closely with other areas of organization (Fund Valuations, Financial Reporting & Tax, Tax Advisory Group etc.) to address tax issues and regulatory changes to ensure a coordinated approach is utilized to enhance client experience.
What will you do? - Manage team of 5 full time and seasonal contactors
- Provide timely communications, proactive support, advice and coaching and development to staff
- Responsible for the strategy as well as the accurate and timely production of all client and unitholder outputs including Statements, Trade confirmations, Tax Slips and Ad hoc reporting.
- Participate as a member of the Shareholder Services Management team and disseminate corporate messages and initiatives through the reporting line.
- Work with the Client Service Managers and Relationship Managers to properly manage clients' expectation
- Effectively liaise with the system Vendors to provide timely and accurate support to our Business Partners.
- Participate in operational meetings to remain engaged in business requirements and needs

What do you need to succeed?Must-have: - Post Secondary Education
- 5 years' experience in Mutual Fund Industry
- Knowledge of Canadian tax reporting
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Must possess excellent communications (written & oral) skills

Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is:
$75,000.00 - $110,000.00
