Position SummaryThe Manager - Tax Automation & Development is responsible for leading the execution of automation and development within the Tax practice group. This role builds and manages a dedicated offshore development team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering internal technology solutions that enhance the Tax practice. Serving as the strategic bridge between Tax and software development, this position translates business objectives into scalable automation, integrations, AI-enabled capabilities, and custom applications that improve efficiency, strengthen the user experience, and extend the value of the firm's Tax Technology ecosystem.
Note: Candidates located near a BPM office will follow a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days per week in the office.Key Responsibilities:- Build, lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated offshore Tax Technology development team.
- Translate tax business processes into functional and technical requirements for development.
- Establish and prioritize the Tax Technology development roadmap and backlog.
- Lead the design and delivery of integrations, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and internally developed applications.
- Partner with Tax Leadership to identify strategic technology opportunities and define solution approaches.
- Provide functional direction to developers and ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and user expectations.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Technology and third-party vendors when architectural support or integrations are required.
- Establish development standards, documentation, testing, and quality assurance practices.
Qualifications:- CPA with significant public accounting tax experience.
- Experience in Tax Technology, business process improvement, or technology transformation.
- Experience leading software development initiatives and/or offshore development teams.
- Strong understanding of tax workflows, technology platforms, and automation opportunities.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and project delivery skills.
Reporting Structure:Reports to the Tax Technology Leader and is responsible for the leadership and management of BPM's dedicated offshore Tax Technology development team.

$128,000 - $168,000 a year
