Summary:
The Manager of Patient Care will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department(s). This includes managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the smooth operations of the department.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Recruits, coaches, and manages staff, including setting goals and objectives and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Oversees surgical and procedural areas including South Campus Surgery (Orthopedics), Endoscopy/Outpatient Procedure Center, Pain Management Procedures, and Pre-Procedures.
  • Coordinates patient care by managing patient flow and collaborating with healthcare providers and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversees the department's financial operations, including budgeting, productivity, and reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Monitors department performance and quality metrics and implements improvements as needed.
  • Fosters a positive and professional work environment for staff and patients.
  • Handles patient inquiries and complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Follows the chain of command process for nursing practice and/or clinical services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.


Certification:
  • Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record | Driver's License - Current State Licensed | Prior to Start Date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date | Learning Management System


Education:
• Required: Associates - Business- OR -Associates - Healthcare
