Job Description

We are seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to oversee the EIS and Administrative Services categories and provide leadership and oversight for sourcing, contracting and purchasing-related activities within Supply Chain Shared Services. In this newly created role, you will integrate product/service category-related analysis and oversight with daily supervision of Contract Administrators and Procurement Specialists. Your goal will be ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and supply assurance across assigned categories as well as sourcing and contracting excellence aligned with our annual plan of purchase and other requests as needed.

The Manager reviews supplier, pricing, operational, and utilization data to support sourcing recommendations, oversees operational purchasing workflows, leads supplier performance evaluation and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). This is to ensure alignment with organizational, financial, and operational objectives. The position requires advanced analytical capabilities, strong decision-making, and the ability to lead staff in achieving service excellence, cost optimization, and compliant purchasing practices. The role also requires excellent communication and collaboration skills enabling our shared service model and supporting the entire health system.

This opportunity is a hybrid remote position that will require being in the office at least once a week.

Summary of Essential Duties:
  • Manages Contract Administrators and Procurement Specialists, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions; ensures team readiness, coverage, and consistent workflow execution.
  • Directs, plans, and prioritizes sourcing, purchasing, and contracting activities to ensure departmental goals, accuracy, service levels, turnaround times, and supply assurance requirements are met.
  • Oversees staff evaluations of new products, services, equipment, and technologies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of assessments and preparing managerial recommendations for leadership review.
  • Negotiates complex service agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), pricing structures, service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance guarantees.
  • Conducts supplier assessments and market benchmarking to evaluate service capabilities, pricing competitiveness, innovation, and risk.
