Job title: Manager, Strategic Partnerships

About the Job:

Sanofi is recruiting for a Manager, Strategic Partnerships to support a diverse and growing portfolio of vaccines targeting infectious diseases. This role has primary accountability for managing partnerships with contract research organizations and other strategic partners of Sanofi to deliver specialty laboratory testing including immunogenicity analyses and other bioanalytical data such as virologic and bacteriologic diagnostics. The Manager, Strategic Partnerships position reports into the head of Strategic Alliances within Global Immunology. They will be required to identify, onboard, and maintain external vendors in accordance with company procurement, legal, and quality requirements. Testing assays may need to be developed, qualified, validated or may already be in place at perspective external vendors. The Manager, Strategic Partnerships will work with other internal and external functions to author or obtain necessary documentation such as work proposals, work orders, assay protocols, reports, analyst qualifications, and data reports as required. They will also participate in budget, resource, and administrative activities required to ensure external vendor plans are aligned with the company's strategic plans. The position will interact with various management committees as needed and will ensure quality data is being generated to support the company's vaccine clinical trials.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science with 2+ years of experience in vendor and project management within pharma or vaccines industry OR
  • Master's degree in Life Science with 1+ years of experience in vendor and project management within pharma or vaccines industry OR
  • PhD in Life Science with 1+ year of experience in vendor and project management within pharma or vaccines industry.
  • Previous experience in research and /or laboratory setting.

Main responsibilities:

Vendor Identification and Setup
  • Identifies and establishes external vendors with applicable testing capability to as needed.
  • Works with Procurement and Site Quality Operations (SQO) to ensure external vendors are in alignment with company standards and requirements relating to outsourcing.
  • Assists with the creation of RFPs, MLSAs, QTAs, and other legal and financial documentation as needed
  • Works with GCLP Support to onboard a CROs/vendors and ensures appropriate training is provided to the CRO.


Strategic Partnerships Management
  • Acts as a Project Manager and is direct liaison between R&D operations and outside CROs/vendors Ensures external testing is adequately planned, monitored and delivered per project needs.
  • When required, ensures assay development, qualification, and validation is completed within defined timelines.
  • Leads routine or ad hoc joint meetings between R&D and CROs/vendors.
  • Ensures a good working relationship between R&D and the CROs/vendors.
  • Ensures quality data is being delivered to R&D


Documentation
  • Authors or contributes to required documentation (work orders, protocols, reports) in support of technology/method development, optimization, qualification, validation.
  • Assists in investigation/troubleshooting of external methods and documenting the outcome.
  • Works with quality and compliance to ensure all quality documentation is filed appropriately and available for audit.


Business Operations
  • In coordination with FPRM/PPFP, responsible for scheduling testing at CROs and ensuring accuracy of testing schedules.
  • Responsible for contributing to yearly OEC budget ensuring CRO costs/spending is aligned with the forecasted budget and R&D financial objectives.
  • Reviews and revises processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and applicability.

The salary range for this position is:
$85.500,00 - $123.500,00
