What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Statutory Transfer Pricing will be part of RBC's STP Centre of Excellence (COE) assisting in the effort to ensure that RBC satisfies all global STP and finance requirements consistently and comprehensively. Statutory Transfer Pricing ensures all RBC intergroup transactions are priced at arm's length with appropriate documentation to support the associated accounting for RBC legal entity reporting. Implement business specific, enterprise wide, Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) policies, practices and processes to comply with RBC's Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) Policies and Procedures. Transition the current intergroup allocation models from excel based to the Oracle technology solution.

What you will do?
  • Prepare analysis, calculations and entries for specific Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) transactions (including allocations) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Oversee the processing of transfer pricing entries and allocations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and confirm that the same have been processed globally using the correct transits and GL accounts.
  • Execute and monitor intercompany invoicing processes and liaise with finance and business teams to manage intercompany payments and settlements.
  • Prepare financial analyses for business reviews.
  • Assist in the identification and remediation of potential transfer pricing transaction gaps and the creation of new transfer pricing transactions.
  • Complete parallel testing of newly onboarded transaction to the Oracle technology solution.
  • Ensure that the process is well documented and suggest key improvements to make it more efficient and accurate.
  • Prepare materials for specific STP transactions to support STP Policy documentation update, tax documentation, and audit inquiries.
  • Assist in the development of automated reporting to enhance financial controls, automate manual processes and improve transparency for stakeholders.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Services ("Oracle PCMCS") rules, models and system for STP allocation and logic.


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in the financial services industry.
  • Accounting designation (CA, CPA, etc.), MBA or equivalent education.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Technologically savvy, adept with new tools (i.e. Oracle).
  • Basic knowledge of international corporate taxation.
  • Team player able to work as part of a global team headquartered in Canada.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


Nice to Have
  • Working knowledge of financial and managerial accounting systems within RBC would be an asset.
  • Prior working experience at an accounting firm, financial services industry and/or at RBC.
  • Experience with Oracle technology.
  • Data visualization, programming and automation knowledge.
